What they do & why we invested

San Diego Health Connect connects hospitals, health systems, patients, private health information exchanges (HIEs), and other healthcare stakeholders—so that they can share important health information for better care.  As a not-for-profit organization, their sole purpose is to serve every member of the community and improve healthcare for everyone.

Since March 2020, San Diego Health Connect has made addressing the immediate healthcare system needs brought on by COVID-19 their main priority, proving themselves to be reliable responders during this health crisis. However, the pandemic environment has also created setbacks for them. Since disbursement of the grant capital is contingent on specific milestones for the integration and use of technology, their ability to collect funding is delayed. San Diego Health Connect will use the loan funding to sustain operations and services until grant dollars start to flow again.
